The Sovereig Majestic Theater Association

The Sovereign Majestic Theater Association (SMTA) is a non-profit organization that was formed for the purpose of renovating and operating the Sovereign Majestic Theater located at 209 North Centre Street. The theater will become a performing arts venue in the heart of downtown Pottsville offering a variety of performances including movies, live theater, musical and children's performances. Special events currently held by the Association include Sovereign Majestic Evening, a fundraiser for the Association and the Sovereign Majestic Awards, an initiative in which high school students are recognized for excellence in theater productions.

The Sovereign Majestic Theater Association meets the First Wednesday of every month at 8:00 a.m. at the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce Building, 91 South Progress Avenue in Pottsville.
